All in all, i observed people enjoying their Eddie V’s experience, not just a dinner, and the staff accommodating them. I also observed the restaurant’s sommelier tending to a couple that had opted to have dinner at the bar to celebrate their anniversary. Above all, the service at the bar was excellent: I don’t recall the bartenders name but he was as good as they get. Don’t know what it’s called but get it instead of hot coffee with dessert. I had an awesome after dinner concoction that consisted of coffee ice cubes, whiskey, and Gran Marnier. For dessert, I had the Godiva chocolate cake, served al a mode. The steak was prepared perfectly, the Caesar dressing was different but excellent, and the scalloped potatoes were tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed the ribeye without any sauce, a Caesar salad, and a side of the scalloped potatoes. I enjoyed a pre-dinner Martini (the spicy olives are killer), a glass of wine with dinner, but while I was waiting for my food to be served, I observed the bartender preparing some incredible drinks the recipes of which I had not seen before. Music was great, but the bartending and food was even better. Don’t know if there is jazz every night, but tonight there was a trio playing. Where to begin? Well, I was solo so I opted to head to the lounge, which was a great idea. One of the finer dining establishments in the city. Overall- I loved it and it was a nice evening that I will remember. Crumbs are taken off the table and your napkin is folded when you leave your seat with silverware exchanged for each course. Service- They host seats you smiling and provides you details for the server and menu. Price point is high but it's worth it for the experience. Many seafood selections and a changing menu. Dining Experience- Happy Hour starts at 5p with some cocktails and oysters (East and West Coast) then live music started at 6p. It's a little chilly so bring a jacket and warm clothes. White table cloth and fine dining service. Great for a romantic evening or an intimate occasion. Impressive wine selection and large liquor inventory. Ambience/Restaurant- Very elegant and posh. Easy self parking at Mellon Square or Forbes Garage also. Location/Parking- Grant Street and 5th in the Union Trust Building.
